Item Description

Australia is without question for decades, the top producer of Opals in the world. The diversity of styles and colors of stones from various Australian localities, (often found in large color examples), is unmatched by any other nation. This piece is a beautiful "spider" carving of silvery colored Crystal Opal showing virtually bright flashes of yellow, gold, orange, green and blue/purple when the piece is rotated in the light. It's a solid piece of Opal, and color can be seen on multiple sides. When backlit, you can see the piece is actually gemmy, with a warm golden hue internally. Fine quality, and you rarely seen spider carving of any gem.
