Item Description
Opal is one of the most diverse gems out there. It's one of the few stones that looks just as attractive when it's crystal clear as it does when the stones are opaque. Despite it's rather simplistic chemistry, Opals show a great range of color in many varieties. This stone shows an interesting array of colors with a beautiful blending of lilac, golden, soft blue, and brown hues. This "Freeform Cabochon" stone is a solid Opal, which typically indicates a higher value on the market as opposed to doublets and triplets, which are set against backings to increase their color. This stone has a beautiful mix of color and would make a great pendant. For the $10 starting bid, you can't go wrong with this gem, considering it was valued at $219.50 retail. Enjoy.
