Olmiite w/ Calcite (NEW FIND)

A very fine and aesthetic olmiite and calcite miniature from a brand NEW FIND find from the famous N'Chwaning II Mine aptly named the Chocolate Pocket. Olmiite specimens from here are a classic and desirable species. Sculptural intergrown "balls" of densely intergrown orthorhombic crystals aesthetically set on matrix with more olmiite and striking, contrasting gemmy calcite crystals. The olmiite has the rich chocolate-brown color the pocket is named after. Complete all-around and in great shape, as the display view has only two gently bruised crystals. Most of the bit of bruising to the olmiites is confined to the back. An excellent, fascinating and colorful miniature from the New Find.
