Item Description

An excellent, larger cluster of intergrown balls of very glassy and gemmy, rose-brown to tan, elongated orthorhombic crystals of olmiite from the NEW, Fall 2008 find at the famous Nchwaning II Mine of South Africa. This piece has a couple of distinctively larger crystals sticking out. This is a excellent example from this find and it really glows a beautiful rose-red with good light. Olmiite was formerly known as poldervaartite, prior to recent extensive testing.
