This lovely display specimen features unusually isolated and distinct crystals to 2.25cm, perched on contrasting matrix. This is one of the oldest batches/style of the material that came out in the late 1990s, first labelled as Poldervaartite. Later, a flood of it came out of at least a dozen different, very different, styles! Also, it turned out that on analysis, these were actually world class minerals of Olmiite, a previously unglamorous species known from mere micros. So many peopl ehave those later batches and styles, including bigger, sparklier, maybe some with other colors - but this is a prized example of the early finds and this super rare crystal style. Ex Martin Zinn collection (sold in 2003 or so). Valued $750-1000. Fair disclosure - these look very different colors in fluorescent, LED, and sunlight. It will definitely look ugly in one kind of lighting, and beautiful in another.
