Item Description

From the best-of species finds that lasted only a few short years in the early 2000s, here is an elegant double cluster of translucent, salmon-pink Olmiite crystals from the N'Chwaning II Mine. These dramatic, robust, sheaf-like clusters are translucent with a brilliant, scintillating surface luster from the small stepped faces on each of the composite crystals. These sheaves with their rich color and translucency have aesthetics that are quite different from most other Olmiite specimens and they are 2.5 and 2.2 cm tall, respectively. They dominate the front of a small piece of Hematite-rich matrix. It's a very sculptural piece that minor contacting on the right side. Overall an elegant miniature
