Item Description

A good color, translucent and showy group of well-crystallized pinkish-orange Olmiite measuring 1.0 cm on matrix. A very aethetic miniature sized specimen. No damage to the Olmiite, and the associated Calcite on the side makes for a nice touch. Excellent quality and aesthetically sitting on matrix to boot! This mineral is truly found in one part of the world in fine display specimens, and the color is so distinctive and unique that it really stands out as one of the most significant NEWLY discovered minerals in the last 10 years. Keep in mind that virtually all of these specimens were labeled as being Poldervaartite, which now is an exceptionally rare species.
