Item Description

Interesting, eye-catching, unique color, showy groups of very well-crystallized Olmiite forming somewhat "sphere"-shaped groups and "bow-tie"-shaped aggregates on a thin slab of matrix. A very attractive small toenail sized specimen. Excellent quality considering the crystals are somewhat isolated and very sharp. This mineral is truly found in one part of the world in fine display specimens, and it is so distinctive and unique that it really stands out as one of the most significant NEWLY discovered minerals in the last 10 years. Keep in mind that virtually all of these specimens were labeled as being Poldervaartite, which now is an exceptionally rare species.
