Item Description
Fine combination piece consisting of lustrous, dark olive-green Olivenite laths that completely cover the matrix, along with bright, metallic-green Malachite. The Olivinite lathelike crystals, which are in a partial radial pattern, average 1.4 cm in length and can get as long as 2 cm. The Malachite grew in fine, flattened needles that create a velvety look. Olivenite is a highly desirable secondary copper arsenate from this now-closed locality. This is an excellent and showy specimen from the king of mines, Tsumeb. valued $500
