Item Description
A VERY hard to find specimen of Zinc-bearing Olivenite (not to be confused with Zincolivenite, which is a separate species) from the Veta Negra Mine in Chile. This is one of the very few pieces of this material that we've had to offer in the auctions. The specimen is covered with gemmy olive-green monoclinic micro crystals of this rare mineral measuring up to approx 1 mm on host rock matrix. Fun to view under magnification! If you collect rare species don't less this one pass you by.
