Olivenite (classic material) (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

Classic, resinous, olive-green colored prismatic crystals of Olivenite from an undisclosed locality in Cornwall (possibly Wheal Gorland or Wheal Unity). The Olivenites are good quality, and look attractive up close and have formed on sharp, lustrous, gemmy Quartz crystals. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#6260) with a great old label from Ward's! Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
