Item Description

A fine quality and really hard to find Canadian specimen from Otter Lake. This hand sized specimen features well-formed, attractive cream colored, pearly crystals of Oligoclase Feldspar intermixed with thin prisms of greenish-yellowish-bluish-brownish Apatite plus minor black Augite on matrix. Very litte damage to speak of and very showy. The largest Oligoclase measures 1.5 cm, and the largest Apatite measures 2.2 cm long. The Feldspars have somewhat of an internal "sheen" when rotated in the light. I have only seen a couple of these specimens on the years, and this one really stands out in my mind as a good piece of this material. From the collection of Bob Trimingham.
