Item Description
YES, there have been a million or more? Indian zeolite specimens on the market over the past 30 years. BUT, you would be HARD-PRESSED to find a QUALITY OLD-TIMER, such as this today. Three, velvety-soft, snow-white okenite puffballs are adjacent to, two gem, very light amber calcite crsytals attractively placed on the front of a pristine and aesthetic cluster of intergrown, snow-white gyrolite balls. The gyrolite is KILLER QUALITY - seldom do they get so lustrous or so stark and snowy white!!!! Valued at $1000 for the qualities listed, though some might say that is high. I am amortized on Ruggeiro collection and can risk it at auction, though. Ed Ruggiero purchased this piece from the Zweibels of Mineral Kingdon in 1980, while the famous Malad Quarries near Bombay were producing such fine specimens. The quarries are now closed, due to population growth. Their card says the Kandivli Quarry, but this is a mistake. A beautifully attractive display specimen, we value highly at $750-1250 range. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON.
