Okenite & Gyrolite on Amethyst

A striking and beautiful combination specimen from recent finds at Jalgaon. A 4.5 cm, snow-white, okenite puffball is covered with (soft-to-the-touch) hairy, fur-like crystals. Flanking the puffball are spheres of gyrolite. The sparkly, glassy, amethyst-lined vug is a super and uncommon contrast to the whiteness of the mordenite and gyrolite. A very aesthetic and uncommon combination specimen from Jalgaon, that displays well from either direction. UNUSUAL on amethyst, this is a fine and rather large okenite puffball in any case, matrix aside. Valued $750. these are not as common as they once were
