Item Description

A superb okenite specimen from Nashik and the Wouter van Tichelen Collection. The accompanying description and photograph beautifully describes this piece. "Easily, the largest, finest and most impressive display specimens of okenite come from India. This is one of the most distinctive mineral species out there as the spherical aggregates have a very soft "cotton ball" like appearance. This specimen features a snow white, radiating "ball" of okenite measuring 3.8 cm on a bed of sparkly quartz microcrystals. Even though these specimens might be common, they are hands down the finest examples of the species in the world, and shoud be appreciated as such." This super piece has multiple fine display views. It is an old style, rarely seen for sale today in such quality even amongst so much lesser material. valued $1500
