Item Description
Splendent, sharp, intergrown, magnetite octahedrons accented with a fragment of a gemmy, yellow-green, apatite crystal form a showy and highly representative example from the famous Cerro de Mercado iron mine of Durango. The large octo is 2.6 cm. Magnetites of this quality are very uncommon from this well-known locale. Ex Wes Parker Collection.
