Item Description
An exquisite and and sculptural crystallized gold miniature from the much less well-known Greenwood area of Placer County, California. Sharp, golden bright, slightly hoppered, octahedrons comprise this aesthetic specimen, which is nicely mounted on a custom-made stand. Ex Jean Hamel and Jamie Bird Collections. The older, former dealer label has a $450 price on it. That was in the 70s, folks! A LOT of money at that time for a small specimen, indicating its value to the locals then and there (the dealer and collector were both in the LA area). Current value is $1300-1500, we would estimate
