Item Description
Orbicular Jasper is the name given to Jasper multi-color, banded "orbs" in its interior. Ocean Jasper is a kind of Orbicular Jasper that is found in small pools in northeastern Madagascar. The material forms in radial aggregates where small "seed" crystals of Quartz or Feldspar create the rounded shapes seen when these stones are cut and polished. This good sized polished "Heart" shape specimen of Ocean Jasper has a lovely color combination with forest green, golden-brown, reddish, pink and cream hues forming swirling patterns throughout the stone. A great piece of this well known material for any collector. The specimen weighs 122.55 carats.
