Item Description

A good representative specimen of the famous "Apache Tears" from the Picketpost Mountain area near Superior, Arizona. These are essentially volcanic glass / obsidian, but they're not opaque. With good backlighting, you can actually see the piece is quite gemmy with a color similar to a rich Smoky Quartz hue. The piece weighs 23.80 grams.
