A very clean and gemmy stone of faceted emerald from the famous, historic USA locality of Hiddenite, of a medium-light green color. Truly gem-quality beryl gems from this locale are increasingly rare on the market. Most are cracked, included, and cloudy - while this is much more clean than most, which is why it was acquired for the Houran collection of USA gems. This one would look great in jewelry or a collection! Compared to Zambian or Colombian emeralds, this is admittedly pale but we are not comparing apples to apples here. But it is a beautiful green sotne, with its own importance and beauty to it. 2.22 carats and valued $1000-1500.
