Item Description

Nickeline, nickel arsenide, is RARE from the historic Ag-Co-Ni-Bi-U mines at Jachymov in the Czech portion of the famed Erzgebirge. Pinkish metallic, granular nickeline comprises most of this important and hefty for its size, ore specimen. The first silver mines opened in 1512 (MINDAT). Patches of contrasting Quartz and RARE bladed pink baryte on noted on the back of the piece. 243 grams mass. Ex Kurt Hefendehl Collection. Excellent, rich and rare material from the famous locale.
