Item Description

Lustrous, beautifully bronzey, spherical aggregates of nickeline crystals cover the layered native bismuth plate on this very rich, old-time, classic, combination elemental ore from a historic locale - Eisleben, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It has an old patina now, with the nickeline crystals showing subtle silvery colors. It could be cleaned to be sparkly-bright, easily, if one wished. Ex Sorbonne Museum Collection. This is a significant piece for the size and heft of the piece. The back of the piece is solid bismuth, adding heft (250 grams). Small streaks of erythrite are also on the backside.
