Item Description

This is a REALLY RICH specimen of nickeline, a polished slice cut from what must have been a nearly solid nodule of the material. It masses just over 200 grams, and comes from the old classic locality in North America, the Cobalt silver fields. The piece has an exceptionally good cut and polish to it, revealing the bright silvery nickeline inside (mixed with very minor calcite and silver, this is nearly solid). Ex. University of Arizona Mineral Museum collection, ex Russell Honea donation (1980). 151 grams. Note this piece comes with a museum display label of transparent plastic.
