Item Description
From the collection of choice miniatures of the Herb Obodda collection, this is a sharp specimen of neptunite dramatically balanced on natrolite matrix. The sharp crystal in the middle reaches 2.1 cm, and has a razor sharp termination, complete all around. It is unusual to see such three-dimensionality. Miniatures of this dramatic quality are few and far between nowadays. NOTABLY this is black on white...too often, the natrolite is removed in preparation, leaving black on ugly. This was valued (in 2008 when we purchased the collection) at $1500.
