Item Description
Here we have a fine quality, three-dimensional specimen of the classic Neptunites from the famous and now closed Gem Mine in California. Next to Benitoite, Neptunite is one of the "staple" species from this locality, The best crystals of Neptunite from this mine are certainly the best of the species ever found. This piece hosts many superb, razor-sharp, highly lustrous, prismatic crystals of Neptunite measuring up to 2.3 cm long which are sitting on a thin layer of white Natrolite on host rock matrix. It's not only showy, but good quality with many well-formed, terminated crystals. Most of the crystals are pristine, but there are a couple of contacts here and there. For the quality, aesthetics and the sheer number of crystals, this is a great pickup for any fan of this material. You don't see hardly any good Neptunites on the market anymore these days, so don't miss out on a piece of this fast-disappearing material. Priced in the inventory at $1,800.
