Item Description

A really eye-catching, three-dimensional classic specimen of Neptunite from the famous and now closed Gem Mine in California. Along with Benitoite, Neptunite is one of the "staples" from this locality, and these crystals are certainly the best of the species ever found. This piece hosts dozens of superb, razor-sharp, highly lustrous, prismatic crystals of Neptunite measuring up to 1.7 cm long which are sitting on a thin layer of white Natrolite on host rockmatrix. It's rare to find such a rich "plate" of crytals like this, especially with good aesthetics and only minimal damage. Most of the crystals are pristine, but there are a couple of nicks, hence the auction listing. For the quality, aesthetics and the sheer number of crystals, this is a great pickup for any fan of this material. You don't see hardly any good Neptunites on the market anymore these days, so don't miss out on a piece of this fast-disappearing material. Priced in the inventory at $2,400.
