Item Description

There is no argument that the finest and most well-known crystallized examples of Neptunite ever found are those from the now closed Gem Mine in California. These beautiful crystals are not only the most recognized examples of the species, but they are truly beautiful and impressive specimens, renowned for their quality and beauty. This piece hosts a predominant, fine, lustrous, prismatic crystal of dark reddish-black Neptunite measuring 2.7 cm, sitting on a layer of white Natrolite atop muted blue-grey Crossite matrix. For the quality and aesthetics, this is a very nice specimen of this fast-disappearing material, since the locality will never produce them again. No major damage and very eye-catching.
Priced in our inventory at $1,500.
