Item Description

Qualtiy specimens of nephrite jade such as this are very uncommon from this well-known locality. Nephrite is a variety of jade comprised mostly massive microcrystalline to cryptocrystalline felted amphiboles of the Tremolite - Actinolite Series. The very sculptural piece consists of moderately translucent, bubbly botryoids of olive-green nephrite. The bottom has been polished. 110 grams mass. Rarely on the market.
