Item Description
A sculptural large polished "bar" of nephrite jade from the South Island of New Zealand. The variable rich green and yellow-green pattern, banding and excellent luster make for a beautiful and artistic specimen. The jade is partially translucent on the front and edges, adding allure. Jade from this area is well-known in New Zealand and world-wide for lapidary and ornamental work and this is fine, high quality carving grade material. Mass is 181 grams.
