This material is Nephrite (not Jadeite), and hails from the classic Russian locality in Siberia. It should be noted that Nephrite Jade (or simply Nephrite) is a variety of Amphibole species in the Ferro-Actinolite-Tremolite series. This is 100% NATURAL material here, no dyes or treatments. The stone has a mix of a caramel hue on the exterior with a lovely soft mossy gree in the center. It actually looks beautiful when backlit, as the green shade almost complete disappears.
