Item Description
This material is Nephrite (not Jadeite), and hails from the classic Russian locality in Siberia. It should be noted that Nephrite Jade (or simply Nephrite) is a variety of Amphibole species in the Ferro-Actinolite-Tremolite series. This is 100% NATURAL material here, no dyes or treatments. The color is a lovely soft mossy green, and actually looks beautiful when backlit. Jade is one of the most popular "non gem quality" stones around, and stones with this color are certainly highly sought after by collectors. If you collect Jade, don't miss out on this NATURAL and UNTREATED stone. This material has been wildly popular with Chinese buyers, and it seems to be very difficult to obtain in the western market. This stone came to us with a retail value of $265.20.
