Natrolite with Analcime and Aegirine (ex Schlichter Collection)

The Poudrette Quarry is the site of one of the most significant mineralogical localities in the world. There are over 400 mineral species reported from this widly prolific locality, along with MANY best in the world examples. This attractive miniature features dozens of sharp, prismatic, cream colored Natrolite crystals measuring up to 8 mm associated with a few off-white trapezohedral crystals of Analcime measuring up to 5 mm. The reverse side of the piece features a few black prismatic crystals of Aegirine measuring up to 4.3 cm long. I can see some foliated Polylithionite crystals as well on the back of the piece for a nice touch. Good quality, no major damage. Now that MSH is mostly off limits, collecting has been limited / reduced in recent years, so if you collect minerals from this world famous quarry, don't miss out on this attractive specimen.
