Item Description

This is a lovely example of these seldom seen Natrolites from Arizona. Most people associate Arizona with secondary ore minerals, so to find a zeolite specimen like this is certainly odd. The locality is a dam area, near metro Phoenix located in a mountain park to the north. This dam site was the source of a remarkable find of zeolite minerals and produced Arizona's best Natrolite specimens. This cabinet sized piece hosts sparkly cream-colored radiating aggregates of Natrolite measuring up to 1.7 cm across sitting on underlying basalt matrix on this sculptural and excellent specimen. These pieces came out in the 1980s, and you'd be hard-pressed to find them on the market today. This is a good one, and valued at $950 in our inventory.
