Item Description
Natrolite, a Zeolite Group species, is a common accessory as a druze to Benitoite and Neptunite crystals at the famed Dallas Gem Mine. However, large well-formed sharply terminated crystals, such as this thumbnail beauty, are rare. This very fine transparent, colorless crystal has textbook orthorhombic prismatic form with satin lustre faces. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 6958 and acquired as a gift from the Cisneros' in May, 1973. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). An excellent and uncommon, fairly large crystal for the locale. Seldom on the market in this quality.
