Item Description

Natrolite is a fairly common around the world, but good gem material is only found in a few places. It's one of the few gem quality Zeolite minerals out there as well. The specimen in this rough and cut is from South Africa (most likely the Wessels Mine) and features a prismatic group of thin tetragonal crystals which are white to colorless in hue. The stone is the real star of the set becuase it's well over 6 carats with amazing VVS clarity, and a "Modified Barion Step" cut. It's also completely colorless and looks brilliant in good lighting. A great quality stone for any collector. The majority of the value in this set lies with the stone, and it's not often you see 6+ carat faceted gems of Natrolite from any locality.
