Item Description
What a fine and rarely seen GEM quality, colorless prism of Natrolite from the famous Poudrette Quarry at Mont Saint-Hilaire. Natrolite is not uncommon from MSH, but to find WATER CLEAR crystals this size is certainly rare in my experience. I've seen larger crystals, but not often does one encounter such fine transparent single crystals of Natrolite, not only from this locality, but any world locality. It's a fairly thick crystal for the species, and the fact that it has a beautiful pyramidal termination makes it all the more enticing. If you collect gem crystals, think of how rare it is to find a fine crystallized example of Natrolite (a Zeolite species) on the market. Ex Wouter Van Tichelen Collection. Do not miss out on this one, I'm told that collecting at the quarry is now forbidden by new ownership, so specimens will be nearly impossible to obtain unless they come from old collections.
