Natrolite (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

An old time Natrolite specimen from an unspecified locality in the Ustt nad Labem (Aussig) region in Bohemia. The piece comprises sharp, prismatic, very thin, white, translucent "needle"-like crystals of Natrolite in radial "sprays" on matrix. The crystals are good quality up close are notably white compared to many of the pink and orange / tan specimens I've seen from the area. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#2098). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). A beautiful and attractive old-timer from this lesser known locale.
