Item Description

The quarries of Mont Saint-Hilaire have produced a world-class variety of common, rare, and unique mineral species. This mounded, multi-sided piece qualifies as an excellent combination specimen. Jackstraw and radiating clusters of sharp, tan Natrolite crystals actually compose the 'matrix' in this case. There are hundreds of aegirine crystals, both blades and needles, as well as classic, euhedral Analcime crystals to 1.5 cm. There is some resorption to a few of the Analcimes, as well. The small, reddish-brown, and bladed Rhodochrosite rosettes are a diagnosatic and important accent to this fine combination specimen. Originally priced at $200.
