Item Description
This is a lovely and rarely seen gemmy, colorless prism of Natrolite from the famous Poudrette Quarry at Mont Saint-Hilaire. Natrolite is not uncommon from MSH, but to find crystals that are nearly water clear in areas is certainly rare in my experience. I've seen larger crystals, but not often does one encounter such good quality crystals of Natrolite, not only from this locality, but any world locality. The fact that it's on matrix makes it all the more enticing for me. If you collect gem crystals, think of how rare it is to find a fine crystallized example of Natrolite (a Zeolite species) on the market. Do not miss out on this one, I'm told that collecting at the quarry is now forbidden by new ownership, so specimens will be nearly impossible to obtain unless they come from old collections.
