Item Description
An incredibly rare specimen of Natrojarosite (originally labeled as Jarosite) from the Maikain Au deposit in Kazakhstan. It should be noted that the historic hand-written label accompanying the piece refers to this piece as being "Utahite", but I think this is actually a reference to Utahlite, which is now defined as a variety of Variscite. With that said, this piece is the only specimen of Natrojarosite that we've had to offer from this old locality and is a massive sample of a golden-brown hue with a slightly "sparkly" luster on the surface. A cool antique specimen with a beautifully well-detailed label from an unknown German collection.
