Item Description

The Imiter Mine is perhaps the most famous Silver locality in Morocco, and has produced some of, if not the finest Silver specimens from Africa. Many people are familiar with the great wire Silvers from Imiter, but this piece actually features a beautiful, branching, arborsecent crystallized "leaf" measuring 5.3 cm, aesthetically flaring out of the host rock matrix. An additional smaller "leaf" can be seen poking out of the back of the specimen as well for nice touch. Wonderful three-dimensional form and balance, and the antique patina on the surface gives the piece character. Very fun to view up close and spin around to see from all angles. These specimens seemed to have dried up on the market, and are certainly worth picking up if you collect native elements, Moroccan minerals or minerals of Africa. Priced at $4,000 retail in our inventory.
