Item Description

Silver specimens from this famous old Creede District silver mine are RARE. This is a choice old-time thumbnail group of burnished knobby spinel-twinned crystal clusters and knobby globular silver crystal clusters. This rich old silver mine started in 1891 and ceased operations in 1911, with spurts of activity since then. Formerly owned by Mr. N.C. Creede (MINDAT). Comes in a 8.0 x 7.0 cm box. From an East Coast collection.
