Item Description

Native ruthenium is a very rare element, discovered in 1974. Specimens from any locality are RARE and are very rarely on the market! The gellcap contains about 12 tiny silver-metallic flakes of this rare element (along with other rare elements) from this obscure placer deposit, that is the unique Type Locality for three other super-rare metallics. Old and rare material valued highly by Josef Vajdak, a noted rarities collector and formerly in the George Gebhard Collection (collected in 1885 according to the labels).
