Item Description

A beautiful brilliant silvery-white native Platinum "nugget" that weighs 800 mg from the Ural Mountains of Russia. The piece comes with an historic label from the legendary mineral dealer, Hugh A. Ford. Since the label has Ford's New York address it dates to 1946-1957, and it's simply labeled as "Ural Mts., Russia". This piece could be from the Is River, but I can't be certain. Keep in mind that Platinum is a rare noble metal, only found in about 5 micrograms per kilogram (five billionths of a kilogram) in the earth's crust. Great old classic material from Russia!
