Item Description
Native Lead in any form is extremely rare, but crystallized specimens are highly prized. Langban, Sweden is arguably the premier locality for this native element, and good specimens are few and far between. This piece features small but noteworthy modified isometric crystals of Native Lead on host rock matrix. Along with the rarity and the fact that it comes from one of the most prolific localities in the world, it is accompanied by labels from Josef Vajdak and the A. E. Seaman Museum at Michigan Tech, which immediately increase the value in my mind. You can read Joe's biography here: http://www.minrec.org/labels.asp?colid=1371
