Item Description

A striking, sculptural copper specimen from the old Adventure Mine of Michigan. The sharp, elongated or knobby, tetrahexahedral crystals to 3.9 cm have a rich patina and form a distinctively different biomorphic-looking specimen, when viewed from either end. One end reminds me of a Transformer figure with an uplifted arm. The other end looks an animal head with a large nose. Even the back looks good on this floater. The Adventure Mine was organized in 1850 and ceased operations in 1917. Classic and superb old material with dramatic form. Valued at $1800-2500
