A very sculptural large copper specimen from Copper Country and the Sal Avella Copper Collection. This dramatic, two-sided piece has a distinct biomorphic look, resembling a resting dog with a attentive large head. The hackly copper has innumerable, small spinel-twins and a nice variable patina, with even some iridescence. The embedded quartz and matrix adds character. Classic and excellent Michigan copper with fine form.
