Item Description

A RARE, very rich, sculptural, 3.3 cm, coral-like mass of intergrown sharp to rounded copper crystals with a nice variable patina is artistically set atop the sawed serpentine matrix on this impressive and rich rarity from Torino Province. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 7716 and acquired from the Shale's personal collection in October, 1975. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). A remarkable, rare and rich Italian copper!
