Item Description
An old-time Michigan native copper specimen with striking and unusual form. Both the front and back of this solid piece of tenorite-coated copper are segmented with smooth, curved walls. Like the infamous Michigan "copper skulls", this copper was deposited in the Conglomerate Lodes and flowed around large rounded cobbles, when molten. The cobbles subsequently were dissolved away, leaving this amazing shape. This sculptural piece has a SUPER bonus of a 2.0 cm, LOOSE, sharp, rust-red, tetrahexahedral copper crystal locked in an oval vug at the base of the specimen! A real and unique rarity. This old-timer is probably 100 years old or older. Ex Humboldt University of Berlin and Herb Obodda dealer stock.
