Item Description

Native bismuth specimens are uncommon from the famous and ancient mines at Jachymov (the Czech side of the renowned Erzgebirge) and are rare from the Svornost Mine. This blocky, monolithic specimen consists of nearly solid moderately lustrous, metallic bismuth. Not pretty to look at, but is certainly a rich and highly representative example of the rare species and locality. Hefty bismuth ore at 284 grams. Ex Josef Vajdak Collection, a noted Czech specialist.
